Samurai Warrior – Technique Progression

Don Quixote & Rosinante – Bronze Master

This study of Don Quixote and his horse Rosinante was carved from Lime Wood and used (unfinished) as the master to cast a final Bronze figure. Now finished in wax, this particular carving remains in the Masero family collection and is a firm favourite.

Roman Soldier – Carvoran Roman Army Museum

Carved from Oak, this eleven inch tall figure of a Roman Soldier was commissioned by the Carvoran Roman Army Museum. The museum is based on Hadrian’s Wall in Scotland, a place which held great appeal to Gino, with his Italian heritage and historical interests.

Award Trophy – W.H. Gelder Award for Comedy

Here is an eleven inch tall figure of a Jester in Lime Wood, commissioned by the Barnet Borough Arts Council to be used as the trophy for their WH Gelder Comedy Award. This award for comedy still features as a part of the Barnet and District Drama Festival to this day.
